ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

 

The Architectural Designer is responsible for supporting project teams in a collaborative studio environment, working on all phases of project delivery on a wide variety of project types. This role contributes to the creation of a project's comprehensive interiors scheme, including the coordination of interior architecture, project management, and construction administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the team in all phases of the interior design process, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.

  • Skillfully manage all aspects of project design and delivery, including development of drawing sets, 3D modeling where needed, presentation graphics, quality control, consultant coordination, and project schedules.

  • Produce and maintain materials specifications and schedules.

  • Attend meetings with design team, contractors, architects, and clients.

  • Review pricing, materials, and customization for projects and provide design support for completion and execution of design concepts.

  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of experience as an interior designer and/or architectural designer, with a focus on residential interiors. Knowledge of commercial interior design process is a plus.

  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD and Sketchup. Proficiency in Revitisa plus.

  • Strong knowledge of the comprehensive design process [Schematic Design, Design Development, FF&E, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration].

  • Outstanding graphic presentation skills with proficiency in AdobeCreativeSuite.

  • Ability to focus on multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development.

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment and initiative to be a proactive self-starter.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly.

  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills.

  • Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree, or higher, in Interior Design, Architecture or related field from an accredited school.
