DESIGNER

The Designer supports the design team and Principal on the creation of a project’s comprehensive interiors scheme, involving the coordination of interior architecture, programming, space planning, FF&E, and palette development. The Designer contributes to all creative, technical, budgetary and operational facets of the interior design package.
Responsibilities:

Involvement in all phases of the design process, including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Procurement and Installation.

Collaborate with the Principal and Senior Designer in the initial conceptual development of a project’s theme, character, design vocabulary, character, and mood.

Assist the Principal and Senior Designer with development of project budgets, project schedules and weekly status reports to ensure deliverable guidelines are fulfilled on time and on budget.

Responsible for development of all working drawings, including furniture plans, interior elevations, millwork details and lighting plans.

Development of FF&E selections, including specifications of products and materials.

Research creative resources, ideas, historical precedent, materials, furnishings, and finishes to ensure that the most innovative solutions are
implemented.

Oversee FF&E procurement, including vendor quotes, client proposals, purchase orders and expediting.

Provide direction to trades and outside consultants to develop and implement design intent.

Oversee preparation of design presentations for both internal and external review.

Collaborate closely with design team, clients, consultants, contractors and vendors, to oversee project management.
Requirements:
-
5+ years of experience as an interior designer with a focus on high-end residential interiors.

Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree, or higher, in Interior Design, Architecture or related field from an accredited school

Proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
Desired skills & experience:

Experience with Studio Designer preferred, but not required.

Strong knowledge of the full design process including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction
Administration, Procurement and Installation.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Strong leadership, organization and relationship management skills.

Ability to work in a fact-paced team environment and initiative to be a proactive self-starter.
